2012 Wooden Boat Festival

This year I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Wooden Boat Festival. It was so amazing to see all the boats, from all over the world, come in and call Port Townsend home for the weekend. During the Festival, Charley and I toured many of the boats, built our own miniature boat and watched the Regatta. Each night a different band would play in the music tent and EVERYONE danced, young and old. I can't remember the last time I had such a fun weekend.

Back in Port Townsend

We're back in Port Townsend, WA!
I've decided to commit to a year here and see where it goes from there. No big plans, just to enjoy the Northwest. I'm going to be continuing my flight training through Jefferson County International Airport and am so excited to fly over this beautiful area, so look out for pictures! This area has so much to offer within the community, including the Boat Festival, Film Festival, weekly farmers markets, school field trips, farm tours and Victorian Holidays just to name a few.
Port Townsend is such beautiful, victorian seaport. We have the ocean as our front yard and the mountains as our back yard, and though we are in the Northwest we get 1/2 the amount of rain and twice the amount of sunshine as Seattle...
